About Pickaxe Legends
Pickaxe Legends is a short-session mining game for iPhone and iPad. You start a timed run, move a mining circle across a board of rocks, collect ingots, then progress between runs — skills, pickaxes, artifacts, fossils.
The game is free, has no ads and no in-app purchases. It is available in French and English.
Designed and developed by Florian Gozard.
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 22 August 2026
This policy covers the app. If you email me, see “If you contact me” below.
What Pickaxe Legends collects: nothing
The game does not collect, transmit or store any personal data. There is no account, no sign-up, no form, and no tracking identifier.
The app contains:
- no network connection — the game runs entirely offline and sends no request to any server, including mine;
- no analytics or measurement tooling;
- no advertising, therefore no ad network and no advertising identifier;
- no in-app purchases;
- no third-party SDK — no social network, no game service, no remote database;
- no permission requests — the game does not access the camera, microphone, location, contacts or photos.
Your progress
Your progress — veins, currencies, skills, pickaxes, artifacts, fossils, settings — is stored in a plain file on your device, inside the app's own container.
- That file never leaves your device. It is not sent anywhere, and nobody but you can read it.
- It contains no personal data: no name, no address, no identifier.
- Deleting the app deletes the save, permanently.
- If iCloud Backup is enabled on your device, this file may be included in your personal iCloud backup, like any other app file. That backup belongs to your Apple Account; I have no access to it.
What Apple measures on its side
I receive no data from the app itself. Apple, however, provides every developer with aggregated, anonymous App Store statistics — download counts, countries, iOS versions — and, if you have consented in your device settings, anonymised crash reports. That data comes from Apple, not from the game, and is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
During beta testing (TestFlight), Apple also forwards to the developer the feedback and crash reports that testers choose to send.
If you contact me
If you email me, I receive your email address and the contents of your message. I use them to reply to you, and for nothing else: no mailing list, no sharing with third parties. Messages are kept only as long as it takes to handle the request.
Children
Since the game collects no data at all, it collects none from children either.
Your rights
Because the app collects no data, there is nothing on my side to access, correct, export or delete. The only data that exists is your save file, on your device, under your control. For any message you may have sent me, write to me and I will delete it.
Changes
Should the game ever collect any data, this page will be updated before the release of the version concerned, and the App Store listing will reflect it.
